Tabitha Bianca Brown is a Chicago-based illustrator who describes her style as “a hybrid of 70s soul funk, noir, and minimalism.”

Her art is warm and colorful (and impeccably fly!), but even more so there is an underlying tenderness, like that of someone who is celebrating their friends.

I like how her pieces achieve a simple, holistic feel even as multiple layers of shape and texture converge on canvas—the overall focus never waivers from that moment of connection with the subject or scenario at hand.
