A Simple Way: The Art of Emiliano Ponzi

Emiliano Ponzi is an award-winning illustrator based in Milan, Italy, whose work has appeared in countless magazines, publishing, advertising, animations, exhibitions and more.
We appreciate the striking, minimal aesthetic of his art and how it’s employed to express certain ideas. In a recent interview with Kuvva, Ponzi had this to say about his approach:
“After a thoughtful process of subtraction I arrive to the core. It’s like having an orange–you have to squeeze it to get the juice.”
Regarding his success as a graphic artist:
“The secret is probably just a matter of working hard and sweating. There is no reward without a big investment. I spend many hours on images–adjusting, changing and rethinking them.”
