Capriole by Iris van Herpen

Iris van Herpen is a Dutch fashion designer whose creations combine hand-worked materials with the effects of digital technology. Her latest collection is entitled Capriole and dazzled audiences at the recent Paris Haute Couture Show for Fall-Winter 2011-12

Van Herpen worked with the architect Isaie Bloch and MGX in making 3D prints, which were then mixed with fabric materials to create these incredibly distinctive designs, which seem to revel in the glorious symmetry of the organic, technological and elemental.
