Alvi Silkchair by Alvi Design

The Alvi Silkchair is the latest from Swedish furniture designer Åsa Kärner of Alvi Design. It is composed of silk thread tightened around a bearing oak frame.

We have yet to try one of these out for ourselves but we love the impression of the user reclining in empty space, cradled by intersecting currents of energy.
